- Website (gonerds.in): browser cookies and local/session storage.
- Mobile app: on‑device storage used by the app (the app does not use browser cookies).
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
- Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept for a set time), and "first‑party" (set by us) or "third‑party" (set by another service).
- Local/session storage is a similar browser mechanism for keeping small amounts of data on your device.
- Mobile on‑device storage (such as secure storage and app preferences) lets the app remember your sign‑in and settings.
We group these by purpose: strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and advertising. GoNerds uses only strictly necessary and functional technologies on the website, as explained below.

We do not use advertising, cross‑site tracking, social‑media, or third‑party analytics cookies on the website. (Confirm and complete this table after a cookie audit of the live site.)
4. What the mobile app stores on your device
- Secure storage: your sign‑in tokens, so you stay logged in (kept until you log out or the token expires).
- App preferences and progress: settings and learning progress, so the app remembers where a learner left off.
The app does not use third‑party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps.
5. Advertising and children
GoNerds includes content directed to children. Accordingly:
- We do not use advertising or behavioural‑tracking cookies on the website.
- Any in‑app ads are contextual and non‑personalised; we and our ad partners do not use cookies or advertising identifiers to build profiles of, or to track, users under 18 across apps or sites. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Third‑party technologies
If you use "Sign in with Google," Google may set its own cookies/identifiers as part of that sign‑in; this is governed by Google's policies, not ours. We do not control third‑party cookies.
7. Your choices
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break core features such as staying signed in.
- Mobile: you can clear app data or uninstall the app to remove on‑device storage; you can manage advertising settings via your device's privacy controls.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: because we do not perform cross‑site tracking, there is nothing to opt out of for behavioural advertising; where required, we honour recognised opt‑out signals.
