GoNerds — Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the GoNerds mobile app and gonerds.in website (the "Service"), operated by GoNerds Technologies. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms & Conditions. By using the Service you agree to this AUP. We may suspend or terminate access for violations (see Section 5).

1. Who this applies to

This AUP applies to everyone who uses the Service — the account holder (an adult learner, parent, guardian, or teacher), anyone they allow to use their account, and the learners (including any minors) whose profiles they create and supervise. The account holder is responsible for ensuring all use under their account complies with this AUP.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for its intended purpose — lawful, personal, non‑commercial educational use, with any minors using it under adult supervision — and in compliance with these rules, our Terms, and applicable law.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not, and must not permit anyone to:

Legal and harmful conduct

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Upload, submit, or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise harmful or inappropriate — particularly given that the Service includes content used by children.
  • Exploit, endanger, or attempt to collect personal information from any child, or impersonate a child.

Intellectual property and content

  • Infringe or misappropriate any intellectual‑property, privacy, publicity, or other right.
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, rent, or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except as expressly permitted.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

Security and integrity

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures.
  • Introduce or transmit any virus, malware, or other harmful code, or otherwise interfere with, disrupt, or impair the Service or its servers.
  • Use any bot, scraper, crawler, or other automated means to access, harvest data from, or interact with the Service, except for standard search‑engine indexing of public website pages where we permit it.
  • Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except to the limited extent applicable law prohibits this restriction.

Misuse and abuse

  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose (such as resale, advertising to others, or service‑bureau use) without our prior written consent.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or create an account using false information.
  • Place an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or take any action that interferes with other users' enjoyment of the Service.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with advertising or any usage limits or access controls.

4. Content you submit

You are responsible for any content you submit (such as feedback or profile names). Do not submit personal, sensitive, or confidential information in free‑text fields, and do not submit anything that violates Section 3. We may review, refuse, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates this AUP or the law, but we are not obligated to monitor content.

5. Enforcement and consequences

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including: issuing a warning; removing or disabling content; suspending or terminating your access or account, with or without notice; preserving and disclosing information where required by law or to protect users; and referring matters to law enforcement. Serious violations (such as endangering a child or attacking our systems) may result in immediate termination and legal action.

6. Reporting violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, abuse, a security vulnerability, or content that endangers a child, please report it promptly to abuse@gonerds.in/support@gonerds.in with enough detail for us to investigate.

7. Changes to this AUP

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by in‑app or email notice. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated AUP.
